Q.11. Sandeep and Navdeep Are Partners in a Firm Sharing Profits in 5:3 Ratio. They Admit C into the Firm and the New Profit Sharing Ratio Was Agreed at 4:2:1. Calculate the Sacrificing Ratio?

SOLUTION

Sandeep and Navdeep’s old profit sharing ratio was = 5:3

New profit sharing ratio = 4:2:1

Sacrificing Ratio = old share – new share

Sandeep’s = 5/8 – 4/7

=15/56

Navdeep’s = 3/8 – 2/7

= 5/56

Sacrificing ratio = 15:5

= 3:1

NOTE: the sacrificing ratio is 3:1 , but in the Book it's Answer is given 1:1
